FLOWER CROWNED MARTIAL PRINCE

This is my visualization of the main character in one of my favorite stories, Heaven Official's Blessing or Tian Guan Ci Fu. I used a popular Chinese actor as the model for Xie Lian. I wanted the piece to give off the aura of peaceful innocence. Xie Lian is a character who's gone through a lot of suffering, yet somehow always manages to stay kind-hearted and positive and I wanted to illustrate those characteristics in this artwork.
